Research Interests / Specializations:
Investigate chloride loading in western Lake Ontario through direct groundwater discharge using geophysical measurements and modeling simulations.
Project:
Identifying areas of concern for the direct discharge of road salt from groundwater to Great Lake nearshore environments in the western Lake Ontario basin.
Personal Background:
Junwei Zhu graduated from Carleton University in 2019 with a degree in Environmental Engineering. He worked in the engineering field for 2.5 years and completed his Master of Engineering at Western University in September 2023. Afterwards, he decided to join the RESTORE Group and continue his education as a PhD student in May 2024 under the supervision of Dr. Clare Robinson and Dr. Christopher Power.
